Doha: According to Raaz News | The Commander of the Qatari Air Force met with the Commander of the US Central Air Force to examine ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing military relations between the two countries — a meeting that followed recent consultations between the two commanders in the United States.

Air Vice-Marshal Faisal Khaled Al-Ghanim, Commander of the Qatari Air Force, met on Wednesday in Doha with Daniel Lasica, Commander of the US Central Air Force, and discussed ways to strengthen military and defense cooperation between the two sides.

Qatar's Ministry of Defense said in a statement that the meeting took place during Lasica's visit to Qatar and was attended by his accompanying delegation and a number of senior officers from the air forces of both countries.

According to the statement, the two commanders discussed and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and ways to expand and enhance bilateral cooperation.

However, Qatar's Ministry of Defense did not release further details about the specific topics of the talks or the duration of the American commander's stay in the country.

Continuation of Military Consultations After Meeting in the United States

The meeting came only about a week after the two commanders had also held talks during an official visit by Faisal Khaled Al-Ghanim to the United States.

Qatar's Ministry of Defense announced on October 27 that the Commander of the Qatari Air Force had met with Daniel Lasica at Shaw Air Force Base during his trip to the United States.

The trip's program also included a visit to the production line of advanced MQ-9B drones belonging to the American company General Atomics in the state of California and visits to several companies active in the US defense industry.

The repeated meetings between senior Qatari and American air force commanders reflect the continuity of military consultations between the two countries and their shared attention to developing defense cooperation and exchanging capabilities in the field of military aviation.
