Sistan and Baluchestan: According to Raaz News | The Director General of the Transit Office of Iran’s Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization announced that commercial activities at the Rimdan–Gabd border crossing have been suspended.

The announcement comes amid conflicting reports in recent days about Pakistan’s closure of the crossing, with some sources also denying the reports.

However, Seyed Hossein Hosseini, Director General of the Transit Office of Iran’s Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization, confirmed today, October 17, the suspension of commercial activities at this border crossing.

Hosseini also emphasized that passenger traffic through the border crossing continues.

Additionally, the Iran–Pakistan Joint Think Tank announced on its social media page that, during a direct conversation this morning between Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, head of the think tank, and Pakistan’s ambassador to Tehran, Pakistan’s closure of the Rimdan–Gabd border crossing was confirmed.

Nevertheless, officials from the two countries have so far provided no explanation for the reason behind the border closure.
