Azad Baloch Faction of BLA Reports Setting Up Checkpoint and Searching Vehicles on Quetta–Taftan Route
The Azad Baloch faction of the BLA claimed responsibility for setting up a checkpoint on the Quetta–Taftan route.

Balochistan: According to Raaz News | The Azad Baloch faction of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility in a statement for setting up a checkpoint on the Quetta–Taftan route in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.
Azad Baloch, spokesperson for the Azad Baloch faction of the Baloch Liberation Army, said in the statement that Baloch fighters had set up a checkpoint on the Quetta–Taftan commercial route on Tuesday and conducted spot checks of passing vehicles, passengers, and their cargo.
According to the statement, members of the group took control of traffic along the route, stopping buses and other vehicles to identify Pakistani Army personnel and individuals linked to the military who, according to the group, travel in public vehicles while disguised in civilian clothing.
Azad Baloch claimed that, based on information received by the group, the Pakistani Army transports resources from Balochistan out of the province in ordinary vehicles, disguised as shipments of vegetables and fruit. He also alleged that some military personnel travel in public vehicles after changing their clothing.
At the end of the statement, the Azad Baloch faction spokesperson referred to the cooperation of local residents with the group’s members during the operation and stressed that the faction’s activities would continue until Balochistan achieves independence and Pakistani forces completely withdraw from the region.
